On May 12, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met in Beijing with Libyan Secretary of the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation (Foreign Minister) Mousa Kousa who is to attend the fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum. During the meeting, Yang extended his sympathy to Kousa over a deadly airplane crash in Libya and expressed his profound condolences for the victims.
