The Chinese Government is gravely concerned about the growing escalation of tension in Gaza, and has been making unremitting efforts to ease the tension. Mr. Sun Bigan, the Chinese Special Envoy on the Middle East issue, is to visit Egypt, Israel and Palestine shortly to relieve the situation.
