On May 6, Ambassador Wang Wenli met with Mr. Magno, Vice Minister of Health of Timor-Leste, in Dili. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector. Economic and Commercial Counselor Zhao Suocheng accompanied the meeting.

Ambassador Wang noted that healthcare cooperation is an important part of practical cooperation between China and Timor-Leste. Since 2004, China has continuously dispatched medical teams to Timor-Leste, providing medical supplies, medicines, and technical training. China stands ready to continue supporting the development of Timor-Leste’s healthcare sector through bilateral and multilateral channels.

Vice Minister Magno spoke positively of China’s longstanding support for Timor-Leste’s healthcare sector and expressed readiness to work closely with China to deepen and solidify medical cooperation between the two countries.
