On 23 November 2013, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in Geneva and they communicated on the dialogue on the Iranian nuclear issue.

Both sides agreed that the six countries and Iran all show willingness to resolve the issue. They should exercise the wisdom and overcome obstacles to push this round of dialogue on the Iranian nuclear issue to reach agreement and to maintain the momentum of the dialogue on the Iranian nuclear issue. It conforms to common interest of all parties.

Both sides as well exchanged views on China-France relations. Wang Yi expressed that next year marks the 50th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relationship. We should work together to ensure the success of celebration activities in order to push forward bilateral relations to a higher level and to ensure that China-France relations will always be at the forefront of China's relations with the West.

Fabius expressed full agreement on this, stressing that France is ready to work closely with China to ensure the success of the activities in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between the two countries in order to ensure that China-France relations will achieve greater development.
