On 23 November 2013, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who just arrived in Geneva for the dialogue between the P5+1 and Iran on the Iranian nuclear issue, met with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of Russia.

Both sides communicated on the latest developments of the dialogue as well as the issues facing all parties concerned. They agreed to seize the opportunities and intensify efforts so as to push this round of dialogue to reach agreement and to take the first step towards political resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue.
