On March 29, 2011, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with his ROK counterpart Kim Sung-hwan in Beijing. Both sides made positive comments on the current China-ROK ties and agreed to continue enhancing exchanges and cooperation in all areas to push forward bilateral strategic cooperative partnership.

Both sides also exchanged views on the situation of the Korean Peninsula, resuming the six-party talks as soon as possible and other issues of common concern.
