On December 31, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held separate telephone conversations with his Mexican counterpart Patricia Espinosa and Brazilian counterpart Celso Amorim, exchanging New Year greetings. Both sides also exchanged views on bilateral ties and issues of common concern. They pledged to keep close contact and strengthen coordination in international and regional affairs in the coming new year to push forward bilateral ties.
