H.E. Mr. Yang Jiechi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, sent his letter of Congratulations to Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Minister Yang extended his warm congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan on his assumption of office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He said that for the past thirty-six years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Trinidad and Tobago, the two countries have witnessed the smooth development of bilateral relationship, increasingly strengthened constructive cooperation, active exchanges of people and culture, and positive consultation and coordination in international affairs. He expressed his willingness to work with Minister Surujrattan Rambachan in further strengthening the cooperation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs between the two countries and moving forward the friendly cooperative relations of mutual benefit between China and Trinidad and Tobago. Minister Yang sincerely wishes Minister Surujrattan Rambachan good health and every success in his work.
