On March 15, 2010, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in Beijing. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-U.S. relations and issues of common concern.

Kissinger came to China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
