On September 3rd , 2019, H.E. Dr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of China to Timor-Leste, donated a number of football equipments to the Football Federation of Timor-Leste (FFTL) on behalf of the Embassy. Ambassador Xiao had a friendly conversation with Mr. Francisco Jeronimo, President of FFTL, expressing the willing of the Chinese Embassy to support the development of Timor-Leste’s football sector and enhance the exchanges in sports including football between the two countries.

Accompanied by President Francisco, Ambassador Xiao paid a visit to some players training on the football field. Ambassador Xiao encouraged the players to train hard, strengthen the physique and build up the will, so as to win more honors for the country while realizing their personal dreams.
