On August 20th, 2019, H.E. Dr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of China to Timor-Leste met with H.E. Mr. Alexandre Leitão, the outgoing Ambassador of the European Union to Timor-Leste. The two sides held friendly talks on further strengthening cooperation with Timor-Leste and promoting communication between the Chinese Embassy and the EU Delegation. Ambassador Alexandre Leitão thanked the Chinese Embassy for its assistance and support during his tenure in Timor-Leste. Ambassador Xiao wished Ambassador Alexandre Leitão every success in the future.
