On August 5th, 2019, H.E. Dr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of China to Timor-Leste met with Dr. Francisco Martins, Rector of the UNTL, Mr. Hernâni V. da Costa Soares, Director General of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture was present. The two sides agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the Chinese Embassy, Chinese universities and the UNTL, and exchange views on helping poor UNTL students and teaching Chinese language in the UNTL.
