On April 22, H.E. Ambassador Wang Wenli attended the donation ceremony of medicines and medical equipment to Timor-Leste.

Ambassador Wang said that China dispatched its first medical team to Timor-Leste in early 2004. Since then, it has sent 10 batches with over 120 medical and health experts, provided free medical consultations and treatment to more than 300,000 people in Timor-Leste. The Chinese government donates medicine and equipment to Timor-Leste to help improve Timor-Leste’s medical conditions and provide greater convenience for patients. China also supports the education of human resource and sustainable development in healthcare sector. China provides oppotunities of studying and training, helped train professionals and improved the overall standard of medical services in Timor-Leste. China is willing to further deepen medical collaboration, continue supporting the improvement of healthcare facilities and services in Timor-Leste, and promote the building of a shared future, benefiting peoples from the two nations.
